                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 9734
                   ENCAPTIONED, "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE
                   NO. 6958, AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING
                   ORDINANCE, SO AS TO REZONE TRACTS OF LAND
                   LOCATED IN THE 800 AND 900 BLOCKS OF VINE
                   STREET, THE 800 BLOCK OF FORT WOOD STREET, THE
                   500 BLOCK OF FORT WOOD PLACE, AND THE 1000
                   BLOCK OF EAST 5TH STREET, FROM R-4 SPECIAL ZONE
                   TO R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE," SO AS TO CORRECT AN
                   INADVERTENT ERROR IN THE CAPTION.

         	   SECTION 1.  WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 9734 contained an
         inadvertent error in the property description of the tract to 
be
         rezoned; and
         	   WHEREAS, the staff of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County
         Regional Planning Commission recommends to the City Council of 
the
         City of Chattanooga that said error should be corrected;
                                  NOW, THEREFORE,
         	   BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
         CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 9734, encaptioned as 

         set forth above, be and is hereby amended to delete the caption 

         set forth therein and substitiute in lieu thereof the following 

         language:
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE TRACTS OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 800
                   AND 900 BLOCKS OF VINE STREET, THE 800 BLOCK
                   OF FORT WOOD STREET AND THE 1000 BLOCK OF EAST
                   5TH STREET, FROM R-4 SPECIAL ZONE TO R-3
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE.
        
         	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That
         Ordinance No. 9734 be further amended so as to delete
         the legal description set forth therein and substitute
         the revised legal description as follows:
                   Tracts of land located in the 800 and 900
                   blocks of Vine Street, the 800 block of Fort
                   Wood Street, and the 1000 block of East 5th
                   Street. Lot D, Pryor's Subdivision of Lots D
                   and H, not recorded, lot 66, block 6, Fort

              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That Ordinance No. 

         9734 shall remain in full force and effect except as set forth
         above.
              	   SECTION 4.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
